Summary:  
 
The Base Maintenance Manager provides oversight to the overall maintenance operations for, but not limited to, programs, policies, scheduling, and assignment of work for their assigned locations. Ensures all aircraft are airworthy, placing the safety of passengers and flight crew as priority. Coordinates with outside vendors and internal Company departments to ensure scheduling and workflow performance are efficient with consideration of operational and budgeting requirements.  
  
Duties & Responsibilities:  
  1. In coordination with the Director of Maintenance and delegates, maintains operation control for the assigned base aircraft. 
  2. In coordination with the Director of Operations and the Director of Maintenance, ensures maintenance technicians are informed of and adhering to company, aircraft manufacture, maintenance program and regulatory requirements. 
  3. Is responsible for directing, planning, and laying out details of inspection standards, methods, and procedures used by the repair facilities to validate applicable FAA regulations, manufacturer's recommendations, and company requirements are being complied with. 
  4. Coordinate with the Quality Control Center or their delegate to ensure all maintenance personnel, maintenance vendors and maintenance contractors who work on Company aircraft meet the requirements of Primary or Secondary Vendor defined in Jet Linx GMM Appendix A2. 
  5. As a delegate of the National Maintenance Director, establishes procedures to ensure that operation has a current availability status for all aircraft. 
  6. Coordinate with the Director of Maintenance or their delegate to ensure that aircraft maintenance, inspection standards, methods and procedures are performed in accordance with company manuals. 
  7. Responsible for establishing and confirming that the companies standardize policies and procedures are utilized correctly by the personnel at the assigned base, and Vendors when applicable. 
  8. Coordinate with the Director of Maintenance or their delegate to provide current technical data, manufacturer’s maintenance/overhaul manuals, service bulletins, Supplemental Type Certificates and Type Certificate data. 
  9. Maintains awareness of the aircraft’s flight schedule and plans maintenance to be performed in a manner that allows for the maintenance to be performed properly with minimal impact to the flight schedule. Performing maintenance properly must take priority over meeting the flight schedule. 
  10. Establishes and maintains information related to Deferred Maintenance Items (MEL/NEF) parts required and communications to other affected departments. 
  11. Serve as liaison between Jet Linx Aviation and customers upon request, with respect to all matters of historical, current and future maintenance activities. 
  12. Upholds fiduciary responsibilities for the client and Jet Linx Aviation as it pertains to aircraft maintenance. 
  13. Provides direction and support to the base technicians to ensure maintenance of aircraft is being performed properly and in a timely manner for aircraft located at the respective base. 
  14. Manages daily work of other aircraft technician by planning, assigning, prioritizing, setting work schedules, and reviewing and approving paid time off in a manner that allows appropriate support for the assigned base operations from its maintenance personnel. 
  15. Manage base logistics and capital requests at base locations including management of tooling and materials required to support efficient regional activities. 
  16. Is responsible for stock and material requisition requirements for the assigned base(s) are being met. 
  17. Manage and support technicians as assigned and perform the duties of an Aircraft Maintenance Technician when needed. 
  18. Actively supports with the conformity process and assists as needed, communicates status with Base Vice President and owners. 
  19. Supports the Maintenance Planning Department with forecasting and creating accurate work packages for upcoming Scheduled Maintenance that is tracked in the company’s Maintenance Tracking System. 
  20. Ensures Maintenance related invoices are reviewed and processed accurately and in a timely manner.  
  21. Professionally dispute inaccurate maintenance related invoices with the appropriate vendor representatives.  
  22. Coordinate insurance claims that pertain to maintenance.  
  23. Cooperates and verifies Company inventory reports are accurate.  
  24. Reviews and submits Maintenance Tracking System Work Orders for accounting purposes only.  
  25. Assist the Director of Maintenance and the National Maintenance Director with their duties as requested. 
  
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:  
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with strong attention to detail and organizational skills 
  • Self-motivated and willingness to take initiative to research and resolve problems 
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills desirable 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite 
  • Experience with Traxxall, CAMP or maintenance specific applications is highly desirable 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with all levels of the company and its customers 
  • Must be able to work weekends and variable shifts as well as occasional overtime 
  • Must be able to travel for training or other company requirements 
  • Must be insurable under company insurance requirements   
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and submit to random drug/alcohol testing when required 
 
  
Education and Work Experience:  
  • Must possess a valid FAA issued Airframe and Powerplant license and within the preceding 24 months, that person has had at least six months experience with either inspection, maintenance or return to service of an aircraft or system in accordance with the privileges granted by the license held.   
  • High School Diploma or equivalent, college degree preferred.   
  • Minimum 2 years aircraft maintenance control, maintenance supervisor, crew chief, avionics lead or equivalent.    
  • 5 or more years of corporate aircraft or regional airline maintenance experience.   
Physical Requirements:  
  • Majority of work is completed in a normal office work environment 
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer 
  • Able to complete physical activities such as standing, sitting, walking, talking, and hearing to perform daily work functions 
  • Must be able to move up to 25 pounds on an infrequent basis 
  
Documentation Requirements:  
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. driver's license 
  • Proof of eligibility to work in the US
